Inspired by the biggest attack by the Mafia on the State in history. Paintings by Italian schoolchildren remembering the killings of two judges, Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, who were investigating the Mafia. Works previously exhibited at the Vatican, the Quirinal Palace and the Italian Parliament.

Chianciano Terme, a historic spa town dating back millennia to the Etruscans and the Romans, is situated is in the heart of Tuscany. 13 art galleries/art studios are located within the the medieval quarter of town whereas the Art Museum is located in a 3000 m2 Liberty style building outside the old walls

Where are the Clancianum Galleries?

The Clancianum Galleries are located in the village of Chianciano Terme, a historic spa town dating back millennia to the Etruscans and the Romans, situated between the sublime Tuscan landscapes that form the Province of Siena and the heart of the Chianti region

Pope Pius V, painted 500 years ago, returns to Tuscany after a 200 year visit to the UK

Pope Pius V by Palma the Younger (b Venice, c.1548; d Venice, 1628), the artist that terminated Tiziano’s unfinished “Pietà” after his death. This painting was commissioned by the Cervivi Counts of Siena in the 1500s and passed to the Bellanti counts of Siena before being purchased by Sir Robert Dick in 1842. After 200 years in the UK, the artwork has now returned home to the province of Siena where it was originally created.
